Scale is the latest offering from Melbourne based electronic artist David R Coen aka Sow Discord, the last release on the Resistance / Restraint label as we close our doors.

Scale is a continuation of his 2016 self-released EP titled No Sun. Scale shifts emphasis towards space, claustrophobic density and textural gradation. Scattered across a dark field, oppressive strikes unfold at the pace of a funeral procession. This 25 minute work is intricately woven together, compiled of cutting synthesisers, heavily manipulated samples and field recordings, with a sonic arsenal that draws on Doom and Dark Ambient music.
